About these field notes
SendHog engineering
This is the engineering publication of SendHog, a managed application-email service built on Amazon SES. The collective byline identifies the publisher; it isn't a claim that an unnamed independent reviewer recommends our product.
We write for developers choosing, integrating, or operating email infrastructure. An article should help you make that decision even if you choose direct SES, another provider, or a self-hosted system.
What we check before publishing
Technical claims link to primary documentation where possible. Claims about SendHog are checked against the current product and its public documentation. We distinguish provider acceptance, receiving-server delivery, and inbox placement. None guarantees the next.
The launch articles were prepared with AI assistance, reviewed separately from drafting, and checked for sources, product boundaries, links, and rendered behavior. Their covers were generated through ChatGPT. Natural prose is the goal, not pretending AI assistance wasn't used.
An illustrative calculation or event trace is labeled as an example. It isn't a benchmark, customer incident, or production log. We don't invent personal experience to make an argument sound more convincing.
Dates and changes
The blog launched October 19, 2026. Earlier editorial dates describe the launch collection's editorial sequence, not earlier public availability. Publication dates in RSS and structured data reflect the actual launch; later substantive changes update the article's modified date.
Each launch post records when its primary sources were reviewed. Provider plans, capabilities, and documentation can change. Check the linked current documentation before changing production infrastructure.
